On June 26, the URBIOFUTURE Project has celebrated its first dynamic workshop, held in the Delegation of the Andalusian Government in Brussels (Belgium) and with the bio-based industry future education needs as main subject.

The dedicated session organized by CTA (Technological Corporation of Andalusia) was attended by more than 30 bio-based professionals as well as by representatives from the Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU) and the European Commission.

The participants had the opportunity to work in 4 different round tables to discuss about the necessary skills for the industry digitization; the soft skills for innovation and entrepreneurship; and the basic skills in Circular Bioeconomy, both for technical profiles and for business development, marketing and communication profiles.

The UrBIOfuture main goal is to bring Europe to the forefront of the bio-based sector by boosting careers, new educational programmes and research activities.
